CLASSES

We are doing Sew and Show Zoom sessions over the summer. We will vary the day the week and the time to try and accommodate everyone who wants to participate. Past sessions have been great. It was wonderful to see members, get caught up and see what people have been working on. Lots of progress being made. Please watch your email for the Zoom meeting link.

August Zoom – We are taking the month off.

September Zoom – TBD

We will be making something fun for the holidays. We will have several easy projects for you to choose from. Please join us to make an item and take it home. There is no fee for this class.

We will be revisiting a fun project from April 2026 – turning pet food bags into cute tote bags. Bags created will be donated to area pet rescue organizations. Please join us.

We will be learning to make microwave potato bags. You’ll be surprised how easy these are to make. This is a make one, take one event which means you make one for the club (for the craft fair) and one for yourself if desired. Club keeps the best quality item of course. 🙂

This is a make and take class you won’t want to miss. We will be making lined tote bags. You can always use another tote bag or you know someone who needs another tote bag. Join us to create a useful, and so very easy to make, tote bag and take it home with you. There is a $10 fee for this class.

We will start with a large double sided and top-stitched square. We will then fold it and iron it to crease it, fold it and iron it to crease it, fold it and iron it to crease it, and repeat it for many times…then we will sew four straight lines. They make a great gift. This is a make one, take one event which means you make one for the club (for the craft fair) and one for yourself if desired. Club keeps the best quality item of course. 🙂

If you have little ones in your life, this is the class for you. We will be making an awesome stuffed animal and you’ll get to take it home with you. This isn’t a tiny stuffy. This is a decent-sized stuff animal. You can pick either a hippo or a rhinoceros. Both are very cute and are sure to be loved for a long time.

Project and recipient organizations to be announced.

Photo coming…

Karen will show us how to use our computers and printers to print on fabric. Demonstration and discussion only.

Monday, March 8, 1 pm – Upcycled Denim Bag                  MEMBERS ONLY – No fee if you bring your own denim, $10 if you need denim

Don’t throw away those old, worn-out jeans. Upcycle them into a tote bag. Please let us know ONE WEEK in advance if you need us to supply a pair of old denim jeans for you at a cost of $10.

SEW FOR GOOD – Coming soon

This Saturday is an `al a carte class. We will have a wide selection of projects for you to choose from – but no stuffed animals. You will get to pick one project, get any help you might need to finish your project in class, and you get to take that project home with you. Additional projects will be $3 each. Let’s have some fun as a group before our membership starts dispersing for the summer.
